Location history is intimate. We treat it that way.
A map of everywhere you have been is one of the most personal datasets there is. Here is exactly how Maps of You handles yours, in plain language.

01
Your history makes posters. Nothing else.
The only thing your location data is ever processed for is reconstructing your routes and rendering your designs. It is not mined, profiled, sold, or fed to advertising systems — full stop.
02
No ad networks. No location analytics.
Your coordinates never appear in analytics events, marketing pixels, log files, page titles or URLs. Even our own error reporting is scrubbed of location data by design.
03
You hold the delete key.
Remove a single outing, an entire import, or your whole account whenever you want. Deletion is real deletion — routes, uploads and derived data are purged, and raw upload files expire automatically after 30 days regardless.
04
Private by default, shared only on purpose.
Posters and previews live behind your account, served through short-lived signed links that expire in minutes. Nothing you make is public unless you explicitly decide to share it.
05
Take it all with you.
Export your routes and projects in open formats (GeoJSON, CSV) from your account settings at any time. The ground you covered is yours; we are just the framer.
The formal version says the same thing, at greater length.
Lawful bases, processors, retention periods and your rights, written out properly.
